Zion National Park May 2013

Greg and I went to Zion National Park over Memorial Day weekend. It was seriously SO AWESOME. We looooooved it. We stayed at a place called Zion Ponderosa, which is just a little bit outside Zion. We really just had such a great time camping and hiking (with the exception of some people that were camping right next to us. They were drinking and yelling and swearing ALL NIGHT LONG and it was soooooooooo incredibly annoying. I don't think I've heard that much swearing in my entire life. Call me sheltered). Anyway, we went on some hikes to the Emerald Pools, Weeping Rock, and up to the Narrows. When we got back to camp both nights, we ate, enjoyed each others' company, and played cards when it got dark. I loved those moments.

Rather than me just telling you about our trip, why not just show you?

Greg set up a little hammock right next to our tent. It was awesome.

There was a pool at the campground, so Greg and I got to go swimming. It was very refreshing!

Although we didn't get very many pictures of it, there was a rodeo at the campground as well the first night we were there. It wasn't anything super crazy and awesome, but it was fun watching the horses.

Since we were camping on a Sunday, we decided to go to church in a little town south of Zion called Springdale. We got some awesome pictures on the way.

After church, we decided we would just do some sight-seeing. This was on our way up to the Emerald Pools.

Just look at these massive cliffs!

This was up at the Weeping Rock. Apparently, spring water seeps through the cliff wall (which is pretty much pure rock).

On Monday, Memorial Day, Greg and I went to this awesome swimming hole that he had found out about. The water was FREEZING, but it was refreshing and so fun.

Now starts our awesome pictures of the best part of the trip: The Narrows. If you haven't been on a hike through the Narrows, I suggest you get on it. It was seriously so incredible and beautiful.

We just thought this picture was kinda funny :]

Stopping for a bite to eat.

Ok, so there were a couple people we saw that had their iPads with them on this hike. Their IPADS. Are you kidding me?

And here are just some more random pictures.

I miss it already! It was such an awesome trip. Happy Memorial Day!
