Idaho Falls Weekend

So, Leah, Sara, and I went to Idaho Falls this past weekend for just a getaway from Rexburg. It was so fun! We stayed at a hotel called Shilo Inn for two nights, Friday and Saturday. It was just so nice to sit around, relax, swim, sit in the super warm jacuzzi, and hang out with each other. I think both nights we fell asleep at like 3:30 AM. Which isn't too bad, I think it could've been worse. Friday, we went shopping at the I.F. mall; I got some new cute clothes :] I think my favorites were the new brown boots and white sundress I got. I think I'm gonna look like a country girl with that outfit on. I love it. Saturday, we went to the Bodies Exhibit, with all the cadavers that show the insides of the bodies. It was extremely interesting. My favorite parts were the exhibit that showed the blood vessels only in your body, and also the exhibit that showed the fetus at different stages during a pregnancy. It all was just way cool. Later that night, we went to Red Robin for Leah's birthday basically, and then saw Tangled. Cutest movie ever! It was so adorable; I had never seen it before, and I was so glad to have gone! Basically, the rest of the trip was just hanging out at the hotel and going in the jacuzzi, which was just fine for all three of us. We absolutely loved that jacuzzi. Overall, it was a way fun weekend, and I'll always have those memories with my girls!

As for this week: I'm going down to Utah on Wednesday night! Sean Lisenby (Leah's cousin) and Pedro Mendoza (Leah's boyfriend) are both coming up to Idaho to pick Leah and me up and we are going back down to Utah. I will get to see Greg all weekend! I am so excited! We are actually going down for one of our old FHE brother's wedding on Friday. But other than that, I will be in Park City! I think we are also gonna go to the Festival of Colors in Spanish Fork, and maybe go to some hot springs down there too, oh and maybe go skiing! It's gonna be AWESOME!

What's New?

Life's too short to sit around miserable... Sometimes I need to just remember this phrase.
Life's been alright lately. I've just been working and going to school. I've had to teach Relief Society a couple times now. I love it. I love teaching and talking in front of people. I think I'm always a little nervous at the very beginning of the lesson, but I get over it pretty quickly. And the time seems to go way faster than I want it to! I never have enough time to cover everything I want!
School hasn't been too tough for me this semester, considering I'm only taking two classes. But we have quite a few essays to write for English. It's not bad at all though. Honestly, I think I wrote more in my Family class last semester than I do for my English class, so I feel very blessed this semester. Science is pretty easy as well, my online class. I'm blessed there, too.
Work has been pretty brutal, if I'm being honest. It's always a struggle to want to actually go and work the days I have to. My heart kind of sinks a little bit. But hey, I need it, so I can't complain too much.
So, I was pretty dumb and went online trying to see where I could live next semester. I found a couple places, Mountain Pines and La Jolla apartments. I saw that I could apply for them, so I assumed that the application online that they offered was JUST an application. Well, to my surprise, I found out that I signed for the contract to both places. So now I'm stuck with both contracts for both places, but I'm trying to sell my La Jolla contract. If I don't by the start of the Spring semester, I'm screwed. I'll be responsible for BOTH contracts, which means I'll be responsible for paying $1,000 to each of them. It's just ridiculous. It's constantly on my mind, and it's been stressing me out. I NEED to sell it.
Greg came up here to Rexburg this past weekend. I loved it. He got here on Friday night. Earlier that day, Sara, Shelly, and I went to the store and bought a bunch of stuff so I could have a candlelight dinner with him. We got some fake roses, 4 candles, a red tablecloth, some "nice" cheap red napkins, and then got the food for it as well. Sara made chicken parmesan and spaghetti, texas garlic toast, salad, and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. We also had sparkling cider. I really owe Sara a lot for doing what she did for me because I was at work pretty much all day until about an hour before Greg got here. I also went to Wal-Mart and printed out a picture of Greg and me and put it in a frame that sat at the end of the table next to the fake roses while we ate. He was pretty surprised I think. It was awesome.
Then on Saturday, Greg and I drove to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We ate at a place called Bubba's. It was pretty good. We also went and saw the arches made of antlers. That was pretty awesome. Then we went to Snow King Mountain and took the ski lift up to the top of the mountain. We saw the whole view of Jackson Hole and beyond. It was beautiful, but kind of hard to see Tetons because it was cloudy and starting to get snowy. Let me just say that it was FREEZING. Actually, we didn't even know it until after, but we drove right through the Tetons to get to Jackson. I thought that was pretty cool. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun in Jackson.
Saturday night and Sunday were basically just chill and relax days. We hung out at Corey and Lisa's house with them and the boys. Can I just say that I absolutely love them? They seriously are the best. And I love their boys. On the down-low though, Greg and I played Tooth Fairy for Corey on Saturday night. Austin had lost a tooth, and Greg and I were watching a movie, so Corey wanted to go to bed and asked us if we would put a dollar under his pillow and just throw away the tooth. After the movie, Greg went to go do the deed, but was totally too chicken, and came right back out of the room and said someone (Austin and Jacob share a room) moved in their beds. So I took the money in my hand, opened the door, and walked in, with Greg right behind me. The problem now was trying to figure out which bed Austin was in. Basically, I just guessed (luckily I was right), and at first when I stuck my hand under the pillow, I couldn't find the tooth. I turned to Greg and kind of whispered that I couldn't find it. I was so nervous. But I went in the second time and found it, slipped the money under the pillow, and we booked it out of there. Overall, it was a very exhilarating experience, but hey, I consider myself a pro now. So watch out!
